Reflect: The Strength in You

Every day we have to face whatever life brings us. How we encounter each days happening determines our future. Yes, how we act now can either change our future for the better or worse. Every day, we must start our day with God, and then allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. On the days when you feel hopeless and lost, remember that your hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. Because of the blood Jesus shed for us at Calvary, we are equipped with a guide to help us every day. A powerful guide. Yet, when we don’t use the power of Spirit to live each day, we can get caught up in the darkness around us and lose our hope in Jesus. But the force that God has given His children is powerful enough to destroy even our greatest fear.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. He went down to Ashkelon’s town, killed thirty men, took their belongings, and gave their clothing to the men who had solved his riddle. But Samson was furious about what had happened, and he went back home to live with his father and mother. Judges 12:19.

Samson received incredible power from God. He may not have used the power in the right way, but he got the power, and so do you. You have the ability every day; it doesn’t come upon you. When all the life problems attack us, we must not worry or be in fear; we must stand in the Lord’s strength. The power is in us is not human-made strength; it is a strength that comes from God. This strength is what we need to encounter loss of employment, death, and the unknown situation that is lurking at the door. You have the strength in you. Like Germany, Kent said, “With God, you are stronger than your struggles and fiercer than your fears. God provides comfort and strength to those who trust in Him. Be encouraged, keep standing, and know that everything’s going to be alright.”

You have more than enough strength because the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope. So hold your hope in Jesus today and walk hope in your heart and mind. Today seek to feel God’s power in you and write a thank you prayer to the Lord thanking Him for the Holy Spirit’s power.
