THE AFRICAN METHODIST
EPISCOPAL CHURCH
The word African means that the church was organized by people of African descent and heritage. It does not mean that the church was founded in Africa, or that it was for persons of African descent only. The church's roots are of the family of Methodist churches. Methodism provides an orderly system of rules and regulations and places emphasis on a plain and simple gospel. Episcopal refers to the form of government under which the church operates. The chief executive and administrative officers of the African Methodist Episcopal denomination are the Bishops of the church. For a complete history of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, you will find in-depth information by visiting AME Church.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH
We welcome you to worship with us. Our church is set in a rural community that has its roots in community and family ministries. Our church core value lies in restoring hope through faith in an abiding Savior who promised never to leave us nor forsake us. We thrive on using the great commission to advance God’s Kingdom while building strong disciples, developing deep relationships with God, participating in worship experiences and transformative outreach.
SERVICES
Our church worships on Sundays at 11:30 am. We are currently worshipping with Mount Olive AME Church in Worton, one of our sister churches. Come worship with us and find out what Jesus is
doing and what He can do in your life. We believe you’ll enjoy the fellowship of believers as you
participate in the faithful worship or God. YOU BELONG HERE!
